I begin my day with a prayer to nature from the open terrace of my home and then we have morning tea at the terrace. It is also the favourite spot of Joules, my pet. But today it was raining in the morning, the entire morning atmosphere was very romantic. I just opened the big umbrella and decided to enjoy the rain-soaked sleepy morning and Joules also joined me there. The big ground in front of our society was looking like a lake, a rare scene in a concrete jungle. Yet, somehow I was not enjoying it fully. The umbrella was not allowing the raindrops to kiss me.

The misty rain-drenched morning was making me nostalgic. A naughty boy who used to have his own definition of freedom at a very tender age was just reminding me how to enjoy the rain. I just closed the umbrella and the barrier between me, Joules and the raindrops was removed. It was a rain shower. Both of us were shouting and dancing. A man who is supposed to behave of his age as per the norms of the society was behaving like a man as per the child hidden inside him. She was looking at me with surprise. But my revolt for freedom had given me the strength to ignore all obstacles. I was recollecting the forgotten art of making  Kaagaz ki Kashti, but I was knowing there would be challenges in getting the basic raw material, the used notebook. In the era of laptops and mobiles, it is a rare commodity. But where there is a will there is a way. I could remember the office diary and with one or trial I started making the paper boats. Now I and Joules were downstairs and near the ground and floated all the boats. What a Nazara. All of us, the boats, Joules, and I were dancing with joy.

She was watching from the balcony with a look full of question marks. Both of us were fully drenched in water and evaluating the risk exposure, once we'd enter the home. I was also planning the strategy to get a cup of hot ginger tea and exploring the probability of getting some pakodas. The entire environment was deterring me from going to the office. I have to plan it very carefully. Taking excuses of cold and fever may give a wrong signal in the corona affected working environment. I just informed HR that today I will work from home. I knew it would give the HR some comfort in arranging the working schedule keeping an eye on the social distancing norms.

Like an award-winning actor, I was conveying my thanks to nature, the raindrops, the Kaagaz ki Kashti, and my wife. Age is just a number, it can't stop me from living my life in my way.

Ye daulat bhii le lo, ye shoharat bhii le lo

Bhale chhiin lo mujhase merii javaanii,

Magar mujhako lautaa do bachapan kaa saavan

Vo Kaagaz ki Kashti, vo baarish kaa paanii
